****** PLEASE READ *******
- A major change this year requires that you declare if your child will be counted as a full time or part time student. You do this by declaring if our child will or will not be participating in the state M.S.P. or H.S.P.E assessements. When you log in to the Home Link site, you will be asked to declare if your children will or will not be participating. You will not be able to register for classes until you make this declaration.
- Beginning October 1st this school year, we will make your name and primary phone number visible in the Member Directory ONLY to Home Link families that are logged on to our Web Site. If you do not want your name and primary phone number visible, wait until after October 1st, then click My Preferences on the left then un-check all the boxes.
- All students have Internet access unless you have specifically told us otherwise. You now have a My Preferences indicator that you can set that will turn off Internet access. Click My Preferences, then un-check the box to remove Internet access for your enrolled child.
MAP ASSESSMENTS ARE CLOSED FOR THIS SCHOOL YEAR. SCHOOL YEAR 2011 ASSESSMENTS WILL BEGIN IN OCTOBER WITH SIGNUPS STARTING IN SEPTEMBER. You may view Assessment Results from any 2010 school year window at any time by clicking Student Assessments on the left. Then scroll down on the screen and click "View Assessment Results for my Children"
Drama students and parents, please read Mrs. Steverding's informative letter for this year's drama classes and auditions. Discover the plays planned for this year! Click to read letter. Drama Students 9th-12 grade: Regardless of which Play you plan to audition for, please pick up the information for both plays NOW at the Deer Park Home Link Office and read ALL information before auditions. Auditions for the first semester play are August 26th and 27th 1-5pm at the Deer Park Home Link campus. Any questions contact Sharlene Steverding.

HOME LINK MEMO
May 24th – 28th, 2010
This is our last week of classes! Students, remember to thank those teachers who gave you another good Home Link year.
A humble thank you to everyone who contributed to John Mark’s benefit. Stunning results. If you attended the benefit, donated to it, or volunteered during it, your support was keenly appreciated by the Crossover folks and John Mark’s family. Prayers continue for John Mark, Rhonda and the entire family.
Next year’s Drama classes:
There will be some changes to next year’s high school Drama II class registration process. If interested in participating in high school drama next year, please check our web site.
The Year Books are in!! You may pick yours up from Connie.
Upcoming events:
Tuesday, May 25th – 4:00 in the board room - Bev Boxleitner’s retirement reception
Wednesday, May 26th – 6:00pm – Piano recital at Music City for Jeannine Carter’s classes
Thursday, May 27th – 7:00 pm – Kindergarten Graduation in the Deer Park gym
Tuesday, June 1st - 10:30 – 2:00 – End of Year Fair
Friday, June 4th – 7:00 pm - High School Graduation at the Bing Crosby Theater
End of the Year Fair – “A Dynamic Decade”
Get your tickets now!! You may now see Connie at the front desk to receive your tickets for the food items (cotton candy, popcorn and lunch). Each immediate family member will receive three tickets. If you lose your tickets, you will have to stand in line the day of the fair to receive replacements. A reminder – you will not get tickets if you have incomplete paperwork or learning plans. There are about 50 delinquent learning plan moms. I can tell by the number of remaining candy bars!
Thank you to all who have volunteered to help at the fair! Please look for your scheduled time and booth notice in your box. If your time does not work for you, please contact Gina at 276-5511. We still need help on the cleanup crew. Just show up to help if you would like to volunteer. Remember to bring your favorite Hot Wheels car to race on our large racetrack!
Attention 6th – 12th graders – put your team of 3-6 players together and sign up to compete on the day of the fair. All teams must be signed up this week to participate.
After the game, the king and pawn go into the same box.
