We are a Parent Partnership Program where parents of home schooled children and teachers from the Deer Park School District work together to define the educational goals and materials our parents and students use at home. The first session of Home Link started in September 2000 with 38 students. Today, we have over 500 students. We also provide core and enrichment classes at our Deer Park and Clayton campuses.

HOME LINK MEMO
“OUR BEST FOR EVERY FAMILY’S BEST”
December 7th – 11th, 2009

CHRISTMAS IS COMING and THE GOOSE IS GETTING FAT!!!
This is a short month for us with only two weeks of school. We are asking that you have your progress reports in by this coming Friday, Dec. 11th. Yes, I know you just did them and you don’t have much to say. That is perfectly okay. The consultants are going to have a big job trying to get all the reports read and approved by the 18th. It is a busy time for everyone and brief reports are just fine. Thank you for helping us out!! ….signed, The Goose

THIS IS THE LAST WEEK TO HAVE YOUR CHILD’S PICTURE TAKEN FOR THE YEARBOOK
Just stop by Connie’s desk and ask her to snap a quick picture.

IT’S A WONDERFUL LIFE – HOME LINK WINTER PRODUCTION
Performances are December 18th and 19th at 3:00 pm and 7:00 pm. Tickets are needed only for the evening performances. Free tickets will be available at the Deer Park front desk by this Tuesday.

HIGH SCHOOL WRITERS
Don’t forget that your entries for the writing contest are due this Thursday, Dec. 10th.

DISCOUNTED NUTCRACKER TICKETS AVAILABLE
Because four of our ballerinas will be performing in the Nutcracker, they are able to offer discounted tickets to their friends and family. See Abigail LeClair, LaRena Adams, Jessica Basta or Tori Mathias (or their mothers) if you are planning on attending the Nutcracker. Congratulations to our very talented girls!!

Christmas Break is December 21st – January 1st . Classes will resume Monday, January 4th. Registration for 2nd semester classes will also start that week. Second semster begins January 25th. The schedule for second semester will be mailed out just before the break.
