MAP ASSESSMENT FOR WINTER QUARTER
The winter testing window begins this Friday, Jan. 15th. We will be testing each Friday from now until the end of February. If you missed the fall assessment, this is a great chance to have your children assessed. You may take advantage of all three testing windows if you would like (fall, winter and spring). If interested, sign up on-line for either the morning or afternoon session. The assessment is given in the Deer Park computer lab.
SILVERWOOD TICKETS FOR READING
It’s your child’s favorite time of year again. It’s time to read to earn tickets to SILVERWOOD! The program starts on January 25th. You will have an information packet in your mailbox soon. Come to either library if you have any questions or need additional tally sheets. And remember: YOU MUST SIGN YOUR CHILD UP IN EITHER LIBRARY TO BE ELIGIBLE TO PARTICIPATE!!
MARTIN LUTHER KING JR. DAY IS NEXT MONDAY, JAN. 15TH.
There is no school next Monday and all district offices will be closed. However, as you know, you can always continue school at home!! Ah, the beauty of homeschooling!
PROGRESS REPORTS ARE DUE NEXT WEDNESDAY, JAN. 20TH
Just a gentle reminder, as they seem to come up so quickly. This is your 5th progress report of the year. The school year will be half over! The weeks between now and spring break are said to be the most productive for teaching/learning. That gives us eleven weeks to make some great progress!
OPEN REGISTRATION FOR 2ND SEMESTER CLASSES
This is the final week for open registration for next semester’s classes. Remember, students are limited to 10 classes. SECOND SEMESTER CLASSES BEGIN JAN. 25
ICE SKATING at RIVERFRONT PARK - FEB. 5TH, 1:00 – 5:00
You may register for this field trip on-line. Sign up each person attending. Home Link will cover the cost of $4 (including skate rental) for each Home Link student and one parent. You are responsible for extra siblings.
